Hi, I’m Angie (she/her).
As a National Certified Counselor, I am deeply passionate about creating an open, supportive, and caring environment where clients can feel safe to explore the various concerns that lead them to therapy. My training and experience grant me the skills to walk with clients on their journeys to alleviate anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), recover from eating disorders, and heal from trauma.
My background includes working with a diverse range of anxiety presentations, which allows me to provide tailored support that promotes healing through both educational insights and experiential learning. I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing eating disorders and trauma at high levels of care for both adults and adolescents, giving me a comprehensive understanding of the challenges they encounter.
In my practice, I offer an integrative approach that combines evidence-based modalities customized to meet the unique needs of each individual. I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I incorporate interventions derived from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to foster mindfulness, promote values-based living, and enhance emotion regulation skills. Each of these therapeutic approaches offers a transformative path to break free from restrictive beliefs and behaviors.
My goal is to hold a nonjudgmental, emotionally attuned space, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and feelings freely while offering my knowledge and skills as tools for their growth. I find joy in connecting with and supporting both adults and adolescents through their healing processes.
I believe in the importance of working intentionally and collaboratively with clients toward their individual goals and desires, empowering them to take meaningful steps forward in their lives. Together, we can navigate the complexities of their experiences and foster lasting change.
When not at work, you can find me wandering through wooded parks with my border collie.
